Mallard Cottage

About Us

I grew up on the North Norfolk Coast and even after having done a fair amount of traveling over the years, Cley has remained in my heart one of the most beautiful villages I have ever seen. The skies are unbeatable all year round, the architecture and shops of Cley have their own very special charm and the atmosphere is one very much dictated by the buzzing, creative, artistic and culinary folk who congregate here. It is no wonder that Cley has been the inspiration to poets such as Rupert Brooke, artists such as Charlotte Jones and almost any notable seafood chef you can think of!.

It is my great pleasure to introduce couples, small families, groups of friends and their four legged companions to Cley and to give them the opportunity of staying in the comfort of a beautiful, first class period cottage.

Built in 1850 Mallard Cottage enjoys wonderful views over the reed beds at Cley and has retained its 19th century feel even though it has been lovingly refurbished to a very high standard throughout.
